Date: January 26th, 2007
Location: Kona, Hawai’i
Weather: Slightly Less than Perfect

Today we were tendered to shore as Kona dind’t have a deep enough port for us to dock. This made for a fun trip and a couple really great pictures of the ship. Today was amazing! For $10 a person Snorkel Bobs gave you a snorkel rental and a bus ride down to a beach about 10-20 minutes south of Kona to Kahaluu Bay.

One of the main highlights of the trip was while we were here, we saw tons of fish including the Hawaiian state fish HumuHumuNukuNukuApuaa and a sea turtle! Here’s the last picture on the roll of film which we saved to see the turtle!

For dinner today we went to the Paniolo Tapas & Salsa Restaurant where we proceeded to impress and bewilder the wait staff. They were amazed that we could eat so much! Between the 4 of us, we finished off 6 appetizers, 7 entrees and 12 desserts! We loved the food here, and the staff was really great too!

This was the picture that NCL took at the luau. We didn’t want to pay the $18 or whatever they wanted for it, so we took a picture of the picture!
